Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea (Review)

Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea (Ratings: 4 / 5)

Ponyo on the Cliff by the sea is a Japanese film depicting about underwater world and a young kid named Sosuke who is a 5-year-old boy living on the cliff by the sea. When One day, he rescues a strange looking goldfish and names her Ponyo. He takes a great liking to her and promises to protect her forever. Unknown to him, Ponyo is a magic fish and she decides that she wants to live with Sosuke. Unfortunately, Ponyo's decision is to give up her underwater life which upsets an ancient magic spell and places the world in great danger. Together, Sosuke and Ponyo must set thing right and save the world.

The story was really touching and the animation is rather gripping as all the movements is very clear and exact, which can be compared with High Definition Movie. Unfortunately, the show was in Japanese Language but fortunately with English subtitle. If the show was in English, it would be infallible! I believe that the budget needed is a big profusion.

If there is more such mould of films which lets people have the realization to take note of the environment and their family, the world would be rather peaceful and more understanding in each other at least in Singapore.

- THE END-
